Musical Friendships

Brahms's friendship with Joseph Joachim was one of the most collaborative and productive in the history of music, and Maestro Blachly's long-standing musical friendship with Saint Lawrence String Quartet violinist Owen Dalby goes back many years.  To round out this concert featuring musical friendships, the JSO performs Elgar's Enigma Variations, a piece of music composed as a "portrait"of his closest friends.
