About our Auxiliaries
The Auxiliaries of the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra are volunteer-based groups dedicated to supporting the Orchestra’s mission through fundraising, community engagement, and event support. Functioning as a formal extension of the JSO, the Johnstown and Somerset Auxiliary are comprised of passionate community members who contribute time, talent, and resources to advance the organization’s impact.
Purpose of the Auxiliaries
Fundraising Support: Plan and host events such as galas, raffles, and seasonal drives to support JSO programming and operations.
Community Outreach: Serve as public ambassadors, raising awareness and fostering community relationships.
Volunteerism: Assist with concerts, educational programs, and administrative tasks where needed.
Membership Engagement: Promote camaraderie and commitment among volunteers through consistent communication and shared goals.

Join us on Saturday, April 19 for the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra’s annual Symphony Tea, a beloved spring tradition hosted by our Somerset Auxiliary. This elegant afternoon brings friends of the Symphony together to enjoy good company, delicious refreshments, and a shared love of music and community.
The Symphony Tea supports the ongoing artistic and educational work of the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, helping to sustain live orchestral music for audiences of all ages throughout our region. Guests will enjoy a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere while celebrating the vital role the Symphony plays in our community.

Signature Johnstown Auxiliary fundraisers include the popular Cash Giveaway, the annual Poinsettia Sale that brightens the holiday season, and a lively Fashion Show that brings together music lovers, local businesses, and friends of the Symphony. Through these events, and their generous spirit, the Auxiliary helps ensure the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra continues to thrive for generations to come.
