Mission and Vision
Since 1929, the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra has been enriching our region through the power of live music.
The Johnstown Symphony Orchestra has been a cornerstone of the region’s cultural life for nearly a century, bringing people together through powerful live music, meaningful community partnerships, and educational opportunities for musicians of all ages. Under the leadership of Music Director James Blachly, the JSO presents inspiring orchestral performances, supports emerging and community musicians through its companion ensembles, and works to make music accessible, relevant, and deeply connected to the Johnstown region.
